  IoT Business Development Manager

ICONICS seeks an experienced sales professional to lead business development and partner activities focusing on new market and technology trends around the Cloud and the Internet of Things (IoT). You will be responsible for driving ICONICS product direction for the Cloud and for identifying and closing Cloud and IoT opportunities working closely with the Sales and Solution teams. In coordination with other Business Development Managers, worldwide marketing and other departments at ICONICS, the IoT BDM will drive the market adoption of ICONICS leading IoT platform (IotWorXTM) on a worldwide basis. This exciting and new product line from ICONICS will span the traditional industry areas including: Manufacturing, Building Automation, Oil & Gas, Water Treatment, Electric Power and Utilities, as well as newer emerging markets. The BDM will work with ICONICS HQ to develop business and marketing plans to sell ICONICS product licenses, subscriptions, SaaS, support, training and professional services for its HMI, SCADA, Visualization, Historian, AnalytiX® and IoT products. The BDM will prepare and deliver sales presentations, attend trade shows and seminars, empower ICONICS sales channels through training and team selling, provide project management oversight, forecast revenue, and track leads and opportunities. The position is based in the field, preferably at the ICONICS headquarters location in Foxborough, MA.

Minimum Requirements

  • A self-starter with demonstrated ability to achieve sales objectives.
  • Strong competency in selling software or technical services.
  • Demonstrated experience in IoT and SaaS-based sales, cloud services (Azure, AWS, etc.) in larger account or enterprise level organizations.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably in engineering, computer science or IT.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to draft customer proposals, contracts, business correspondence, and presentations with clear messaging to customers and sales channels.
  • Requires up to 50% travel.

Preferred Candidate Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience selling software products with demonstrated success of solution selling at senior levels of operations management and/or information technology departments.
  • A background in SCADA, DCS, industrial automation, process control, industrial communications, manufacturing analytics, statistical process control, data historians, energy management systems, building automation systems, industrial communications technologies, or software for Business Intelligence (BI), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).
