Microsoft is partnering on the project with Seattle-based contracting firm MacDonald-Miller and software company ICONICS Inc, which is using the Microsoft cloud to monitor the buildings in real time, with more than a half billion data transactions every 24 hours. But it's doing it without having to install a lot of new equipment in the buildings.

Iconics' MobileHMI addresses the growing need for connectivity away from operator stations by providing an entire operational dashboard in the palm of the user's hand.  This mobile application is ideal for any industrial, manufacturing, energy, or building automation application, thanks to its easy-to-use configuration wizards.  Users no longer need dedicated laptops, HMIs, panels, or workstations to be productive.  MobileHMI includes flexible drill-down capability from plant level to machine level, OEE and downtime metrics, traceability information, FDA 21 CFR Part II audit trials, and email integration for enhanced collaboration and secure insight into operational key performance indicators and trends.

ICONICS is pleased to announce the release of its version 10.85 products! This new release is packed with over 500 new features including new project documentation/reporting, new Web-based Pack-and-Go, compliance with multiple data sources (including VMware, OPC UA, BACnet and SNMP v3), and WebHMI Bulk Publishing. These important, time-saving features and productivity tools were created to help users become more efficient than ever before.
