On March 21, 2011, US-CERT issued a series of alerts regarding possible vulnerabilities in four companies' SCADA software products, based upon the work of an independent researcher. One alert, ICS-Alert-11-080-02, discussed possible vulnerabilities in ICONICS' GENESIS32™ and GENESIS64™ products.
ICONICS takes such issues very seriously. Within hours of becoming aware of the alert, ICONICS put an engineering team in place to validate and subsequently resolve the vulnerability. ICONICS has worked closely with US-CERT in addressing the issue and validating the remedy.
