Business Development Managers (BDM) will be responsible for meeting Orders Goals for the Region and for developing and managing sales relationships with end users and partners across the Region. The BDM will develop a network of direct and leveraged sales channels to serve targeted industry market segments. The BDM will be responsible for maintaining and growing sales in ICONICS' key markets, including: Manufacturing, Building Automation, Oil & Gas, Water Treatment, Electric Power and Utilities. The BDM will work with ICONICS HQ to develop business and marketing plans to sell ICONICS product licenses, subscriptions, SaaS, support, training and professional services for its HMI, SCADA, Visualization, Historian, Analytics and IoT products. The BDM will prepare and deliver sales presentations, attend trade shows and seminars, empower ICONICS sales channels through training and team selling, provide project management oversight, forecast revenue, and track leads and opportunities. The BDM is to develop brand preference within major corporate accounts, engineering and consulting firms.
 
This individual will report to the VP Worldwide Sales, ICONICS HQ. The position is based in the field, preferably in a major metropolitan area.

Candidate Requirements
  • Candidates must have a strong competency in Industrial Automation or Energy Smart Buildings applications.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to draft customer proposals, contracts, business correspondence, and presentations and clear messaging to and through sales channels are a must.
  • A self-starter with demonstrated ability to achieve sales objectives.
  • Strong competency in selling software or technical services.
  • Requires 50% travel to customers and prospects within the Region plus 2 to 4 trips per year to ICONICS offices outside of the Region, including ICONICS' HQ in USA. Initial training period may require up to 6 weeks out of the region.
Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 7 years experience selling software products with demonstrated success of solution selling at senior levels of operations management and/or information technology departments.
  • A track record of exceeding sales objectives within industrial or building automation system markets, energy services or industrial IT systems.
  • A background in SCADA, DCS, industrial automation, process control, industrial communications, manufacturing analytics, statistical process control, data historians, energy management systems, building automation systems, industrial communications technologies, or software for Business Intelligence (BI), Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), or Enterprise Asset Management (EAM).

This position may include a company car or car allowance.
